A five-vehicle crash at McCarran International Airport on Monday morning that left a lady dead and multiple others hospitalized may result in criminal charges, according to Las Vegas police.
According to Metro, the collision occurred at the intersection of Paradise and Sunset roads at approximately 8:05 a.m. Investigators think a 2003 Nissan Altima heading east on Sunset was rear-ended by a 2011 Honda Pilot. The Nissan struck a traffic signal post as a result of the impact. Three more vehicles in the left turn lanes leading south on Paradise were struck by the overturned Honda Pilot. At Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center, 39-year-old Las Vegas resident Elaine Robinson, the Nissan’s driver, passed away. Another individual sustained minor wounds. The driver of the Honda Pilot stayed on the scene and did not display any symptoms of intoxication, police added. In Metro’s authority, this is the 61st traffic-related death of 2015.
