PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. —
A deadly crash has blocked northbound US-41 in Charlotte County early Monday morning.
The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating after a pedestrian was reportedly struck and killed on US-41 at Collingswood Boulevard.
Troopers responded to the scene around 5:45 a.m.
The Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office also responded to the scene where they said northbound lanes on US-41 are closed as of 6:45 a.m.
CCSO said the driver did stay on the scene as troopers continue investigations.
