Today’s report: Five people, including two children, are killed in a DWI vehicle incident in Fort Worth, and a 19-year-old is arrested: Reports

Five individuals, including two children, were killed in an automobile accident in Fort Worth, Texas, on Monday morning, and a 19-year-old driver was taken into custody, according to several accounts. Interstate 35W was closed for several hours following the crash, and it reopened at 5:30 a.m. local time, according to WFAA and the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. An further individual was admitted to the hospital in a critical state.

Multiple accounts state that Eduardo Gonzalez, 19, was charged with five charges of intoxication manslaughter with a car and driving while intoxicated. Gonzalez was treated at a nearby hospital after suffering injuries in the collision. According to WFAA, when police got at the scene at midnight, they discovered that a Camaro had rear-ended a sedan that was traveling north on the interstate. There were several persons inside the Sedan.
