Tremors were felt all the way up to just south of Hastings, and the magnitude of the earthquake was recorded at 4.2. The USGS reports that there were no casualties from the occurrence and that the economic effects were negligible. Although there have been three earthquakes in that region in the previous two years, Sunday’s is thought to be the strongest.
