Five persons were rushed to hospital after escape a hot, acidic pond at Yellowstone National Park. The group had been in an SUV that veered off-road and sank into a dormant geyser on Thursday morning, according to park officials. “On Thursday, July 11 at about 10:40 a.m. a car with five occupants inadvertently drove off the roadway and into the Semi-Centennial Geyser thermal feature near Roaring Mountain between Mammoth Hot Springs and Norris Junction in Yellowstone National Park,” said Morgan Warthin, a spokesperson for the park. All of them received care for non-life-threatening wounds.
