Five persons were rushed to hospital after escape a hot, acidic pond at Yellowstone National Park. The group had been in an SUV that veered off-road and sank into a dormant geyser on Thursday morning, according to park officials. “On Thursday, July 11 at about 10:40 a.m. a car with five occupants inadvertently drove off the roadway and into the Semi-Centennial Geyser thermal feature near Roaring Mountain between Mammoth Hot Springs and Norris Junction in Yellowstone National Park,” said Morgan Warthin, a spokesperson for the park. All of them received care for non-life-threatening wounds. Following the incident, law enforcement rangers closed both lanes of the roadway near the accident as they worked to safely lift the car out of the thermal pond. It took roughly two kids
