Louisville Metro police report that following a crash at the Jefferson County and Spencer County line on Saturday night, a woman is dead and two others are in the hospital. According to LMPD spokesman Dwight Mitchell, at approximately 10:30 p.m., police were dispatched in response to a crash report in the 5700 block of Taylorsville Lake Road. According to Mitchell, the preliminary inquiry revealed that a witness reported seeing a car driving recklessly in the north. The driver then swerved into the southbound lanes, striking another car head-on. According to Mitchell, both drivers had potentially fatal injuries and were transported to UofL Hospital. The car’s driver from the south eventually passed away. Norton Children’s Hospital received a youngster who was traveling with the deceased mom.
