CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A crash involving eight cars left two people hurt in northeast Charlotte.
The crash happened on I-85 N near the WT Harris Boulevard exit around 7:40 p.m. on Tuesday, according to the Charlotte Fire Department. There were eight cars involved in the crash.
One person suffered life-threatening injuries in the crash. Another person suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
All of I-85 N is closed near the exit as cleanup continues. North Carolina Department of Transportation estimates the road will reopen around 10:40 p.m.
Officials have not said what caused the crash or if anyone will face charges.
