One person dies in hospital, another critically injured after rollover on Highway 401 in Mississauga Sunday night

Following a crash in Mississauga, one person is dead and another is critically injured and hospitalized. Shortly after 9 p.m. on Friday, Ontario Provincial Police and other nearby first responders responded to a report of a single vehicle collision in the eastbound lanes of Highway 401, just west of Winston Churchill Boulevard. Upon reaching the location, they observed a car that had overturned and two individuals who had been thrown from it. The driver and the passengers were both sent to the hospital.

A Toronto woman, age 23, who was one of the passengers, was declared deceased at the hospital. The condition of the other, a Milton guy of 21 years old, is critical. The driver, a Milton guy of eighteen, was slightly hurt in the crash. Anyone with information or video evidence should contact the OPP Mississauga Detachment at 1-888-310-1122 and mention incident number E241197904 while they assist the police in their investigation into the collision.
