Woman dies after she’s shot and crashes car in Vallejo

Shots were fired early on Friday, and a woman was discovered dead in a smashed Honda Accord in Vallejo. It occurred at around 12:30 in the morning close to Tennessee Street and Mare Island Way. Police in Vallejo According to Sgt. Rashad Hollis, it’s unclear if she passed away as a result of gunshot wounds, collision injuries, or a mix of the two. “She did suffer from at least one gunshot wound,” Hollis said, adding, “The collision was severe enough where she needed to be extricated from the vehicle.” According to police, the woman was the only occupant of the Honda and its driver. Her identity remains undisclosed.

Investigations are ongoing to determine the cause of this case and its circumstances, according to Hollis. Melissa Nold, an attorney in Vallejo, stated, “It’s quite alarming. It’s uncommon, especially when it comes to gun-related crimes. Women are not frequently the targets of senseless gun violence.” Nold expresses sadness that another woman has lost her life, even if it’s unknown if the gunshot was intentional or not. Sharmell Mitchell, who was running from gunfire during an earlier fender-bender when she died in July in a three-car crash at Tennessee and Vervais, is represented by Nold. A person has been detained on suspicion of killing Mitchell. But the most recent instance appears to have resulted in no arrests.
