5 confirmed dead, one man injured in motorcycle accident in Greenville

After being thrown off a motorcycle in an accident, one victim was transported by air to Skyline in Nashville. The Greenville Police Department reports that just before 4:00 p.m. on Friday, there was an accident at the junction of KY 189 Bypass and Luzerne Drive involving a 2003 Honda motorcycle and a 2003 Chevrolet Silverado. James Cottrell, 23, of Greenville, was operating the Silverado when it attempted to turn left onto Luzerne Drive, according to an initial inquiry. According to the police, Cottrell then entered Mark Foster’s travel lane, struck the motorbike, and threw Foster off it. Cooper, along with a young passenger, was not hurt, and Foster was taken to Skyline in Nashville.
