1 dead, 2 injured following car accident on Layton’s Main Street

There is one deceased and two injured women from an automobile accident that happened in Layton on Saturday night. Just before nine o’clock at night, Layton City Police Sgt. Brent Ericksen told KSL, officers received a call reporting that a woman had struck the rear end of a Chevrolet pickup while traveling at a fast speed on 1300 North and Main Street. The woman was struck by another car when her car rolled into the northbound lanes as a result of the incident. The identity of the 32-year-old driver of the southbound vehicle has not yet been made public by the authorities. The degree of the injuries sustained by the two drivers of the northbound automobile, who were brought to the hospital, was not immediately disclosed by the authorities. There were no injuries to the people inside the truck.
