The foul occurred in a close third quarter when the two were physically defending one other before Clark seemed to administer an elbow, resulting in a score and some trash talk. After scoring a bucket of her own, Carter administered a hip check on the WNBA Draft’s first overall choice, knocking her to the ground in confusion and shock. Carter – who refers to herself as ‘Hollywood’ – has made headlines once more as a result of that foul and her subsequent trash talk on Clark. This is not the first time. Between her ascension through college and the incidents on Saturday, the former fourth-overall pick has been traded and dismissed from teams because of her off-court behavior—including one instance where she threatened to fight.
