Michael B. Jordan is renowned for his dedication to fitness, evident in his roles in the Creed series and as Kilmonger in Marvel’s Black Panther. His enthusiasm for health and wellness traces back to his youth when he actively participated in sports like basketball and baseball. Reflecting on his early years, Jordan recalls his father as his initial coach in little league and basketball, sparking his lifelong passion for fitness.

During a recent interview from a film set, Jordan expressed his commitment to inspiring others through fitness. He collaborates with Propel Fitness Water to create fitness hubs across multiple cities, starting in his hometown. These hubs provide spaces for local fitness leaders to offer free classes, fostering community engagement and promoting health.

The Propel Your City Project, which launched last year, enabled access to over 160 free fitness classes nationwide, focusing on inclusivity and community support. This year, the initiative is expanding to include seven returning and nine new partner organizations, allowing them to host programs that might otherwise lack the necessary space.

Jordan emphasizes the importance of community in fitness, highlighting how a support system can enhance mental resilience and accountability. According to a Propel study, 77% of participants felt more motivated and achieved better results when exercising in group settings. The project aims to enhance fitness communities from Newark and Atlanta to Houston and beyond.

Despite his busy schedule, Jordan maintains a disciplined fitness routine. He starts his day with stretching, meditation, and breathing exercises, followed by fasted cardio on the treadmill. His routine also includes weightlifting and regular massages to ensure his body remains in top condition. Even when his schedule changes due to filming, he prioritizes meditation and breathing exercises.

While Jordan remained tight-lipped about his current project, he hinted at scenes that showcase his physical form. His dedication to fitness not only benefits his roles but also inspires his community to embrace health and wellness.
