This fall, hockey fans are in for a treat as a new docuseries inspired by “Drive to Survive” is set to premiere on Prime Video, featuring two standout players from the Boston Bruins: David Pastrnak and Jeremy Swayman. This highly anticipated series promises to provide an in-depth look into the lives of NHL players, both on and off the ice.

The trailer for this yet-to-be-named docuseries offers a glimpse of what viewers can expect. Fans will see Pastrnak not only in his role as a father but also relive his thrilling overtime game-winner in Game 7 against the Toronto Maple Leafs. Additionally, the series will capture the intensity of the playoffs, highlighted by Brad Marchand’s heated exchange with Tyler Bertuzzi during the first round of the Stanley Cup playoffs.

According to Paul Martin, executive producer and co-founder of Box To Box Films, the series aims to authentically portray the world of ice hockey. “The sport is as beautiful, skillful, and graceful as it is brutal, pressurized, and powerful,” Martin said. The series seeks to balance the high-energy action leading up to the Stanley Cup Final with the personal, often poignant moments that happen behind the scenes.

This new series is just one of several documentaries that feature the Boston Bruins. Another notable addition is the upcoming “30 for 30” documentary on the Vancouver riots following Game 7 of the Stanley Cup. This year, Boston sports fans will have plenty of content to enjoy, with docuseries also featuring the New England Patriots, the Celtics, and the Red Sox.

With so much behind-the-scenes access and personal storytelling, the new NHL docuseries is set to be a captivating watch for hockey enthusiasts and sports fans alike. The combination of thrilling game footage and personal stories promises to deliver an engaging and comprehensive look at the lives of these hockey stars.
