Jelena posted the video with a caption that read, “When you go to the Formula One weekend and a car going off track happens right in front of you,literally and all the rock debris flies right into your eye. Fernando Alonso ran off track and the rock debris that you see flying off the back wheels went straight into my right eye.
Had to get treated for it but all good. Just a bloodshot and scratched eye. I will survive.Amazing and quick work by the paramedic at the Mercedes lounge. Thank you all that took care of me.

However, Fernando Alonso found himself in the Aston Martin P10 for the Australian Grand Prix. The two-time World Champion’s confidence took a hit after another trip through gravel during qualifying, affecting his final Q3 attempt.
Fernando Alonso less confident after Q3 at Albert Park Circuit
The Aston Martin driver had been performing admirably until the weekend’s qualifying round 3, where he landed in P10, trailing 1.6 seconds behind the pace.
As the session progressed, he could not truly push during his final run, sensing a lack of potential to improve his position.
The Aston Martin’s driver reflected to Planetf1.com, “Getting both cars into Q3 was more or less what we expected today. My first lap in Q3 wasn’t great:
I went off into the gravel at Turn Six. My mistake. So, on my final push-lap, I didn’t really have full confidence in the car. It was tricky.”
While he demonstrated competitiveness in Jeddah, the driver struggled to maintain control over the car ahead of the Australian Grand Prix. The Spanish driver said, “I feel we are a little bit less competitive than we were in Jeddah. The car was sliding; a little sensitive in the wind; lacking consistency.
But it’s the same for everybody. Still, we need to find more pace. There will be lots going on tomorrow.
“It’s not going to be an easy race for the tyres – graining will be a concern for everybody – so let’s see if we can manage them better than the others. We want to get both cars home in the points tomorrow.”
Consequently, his teammate Lance Stroll, who secured a position in 9th place, will line up ahead of Fernando Alonso on row five for the Australian Grand Prix race.
