Mark Davis ‘Strongly Prefers’ That Raiders Don’t Trade $140 Million Star

Tom Telesco, the new general manager of the Las Vegas Raiders, is the team’s first veteran in the role. Mark Davis, who has over thirty years of front-office and scouting expertise, thought that an experienced decision-maker might lead the squad to victory.

For the last ten seasons, Telesco served as general manager of the Los Angeles Chargers. He assembled all-star teams, but they were never able to produce winning football teams. Part of why the former general manager of the Chargers created enthusiasm during the preseason was his effectiveness with first and second round picks. He selected high-producing players for the Pro Bowl and the All-Pro team.

For Raiders supporters, it becomes imperative given the errors made by first-round picks who have visited the stadium. Telesco has a formula that, when combined with star power, has encouraged player participation. What’s getting fans and media excited about Telesco is his perspective on the quarterback position.

Based on the statistical analysis, Drake Maye appears to be a good fit. Maye weighs 223 pounds and is 6’3″ tall compared to Justin Herbert. His ability to make plays beyond the pocket is a testament to his athleticism, as seen in the footage. Despite having some mechanical problems, Maye has a lot of potential.

Should the Raiders choose Maye, a deal would need to occur while he is still among the top 10 players. Although he would require coaching to realize his full potential, he would give the Raiders star power.
