Leafs Key Forward Has Agreed To A $250 Million 1-year Deal With The Islanders, Pending on…

Reporters present said that although William Nylander was with the Maple Leafs at Monday’s morning practice at TD Garden, he did not participate in line rushes with the team. After the morning practice ended, the All-Star forward stuck behind to take a few shots on goal as Toronto got ready for the Boston Bruins in Game 2.

Nylander may or may not play in Game 2, according to Sheldon Keefe.

Nylander was out for Saturday night’s Game 1 loss between Toronto and the Bruins due to an unspecified injury. With 40 goals and 58 assists, he recorded a career-high 98 points while playing in all 82 Maple Leafs games.

Nylander reportedly woke up last week feeling “pretty stiff” and required medical attention, according to Chris Johnston of The Athletic. Before Game 1, he was not to be seen at TD Garden.

Nylander’s presence would undoubtedly benefit the Maple Leafs. In Boston’s 5-1 victory in Game 1, the Bruins did a fantastic job of restraining John Tavares, Mitch Marner, and Auston Matthews, holding them all scoreless. Nylander’s puck handling and scoring would probably give his side an advantage in Game 2.

with Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Playoffs’ opening round between the Maple Leafs and the Bruins on Monday night, Toronto will try to avoid returning home with a 2-0 deficit. At 7 p.m. EST, puck drop will take place.
