NY Knicks Jalen Brunson Welcomes a Fresh Enormous Gift From His Wife, After A Long…

According to Dan Favale of Bleacher Report, the New York Knicks are considering a deal for Los Angeles Clippers forward Paul George. George, a nine-time All-Star, would provide the Knicks with another elite scorer and defender.

The player option for the 2024–25 season belongs to the soon-to-be 34-year-old. According to Favale, a deal could be made easier if George decided to go and set up a trade to the Knicks.

Any trade’s logistics ought to be beneficial as well. In his April 19 essay regarding one trade target for every NBA team this offseason, Favale wrote, “As a potentially free agent, George gets to dictate the terms of his exit from the Los Angeles Clippers—an exit that, for now, seems at least plausible given the absence of an extension.” And in those situations, the Knicks shouldn’t have to give up as many picks in the future as they usually would in order to get a player of this quality.

“PG can make things easier by deciding to move to New York and planning a move.” Since a sign-and-trade hard-caps the Knicks, it would be more difficult, but it is not impossible. The roster is loaded with moveable contracts to match George’s incoming money and, if needed, create the wiggle room under the hard cap necessary to Early-Bird-rights-it-up with Isaiah Hartenstein, even though the math may get tight.
