Raiders Key tight end Player Has Officially Announced His Retirement As he No Longer…

Giants tight end Darren Waller stated in March that he would make a decision on his future “pretty soon.” Waller now states that he will give it some thought before determining whether to retire, one month later.

Vic Tafur of TheAthletic.com was told by Waller, “I have to make a decision at some point.” “You must have complete commitment to the grind. And it would be a disservice to the guys I am suiting up with if I didn’t bring it to the table. Regardless of my decision, I also want to give the team enough time to get ready for the upcoming campaign. Thus, although this was a challenging choice, here we are.

It is likely that the Giants would be interested in learning whether Waller intends to play a second season in New York by the time of the NFL draft on April 25.

Waller remarked, “That would be great, but I also don’t want to put that on myself.” “There’s no way it could be before summer break.”

On June 12, the Giants take a summer break.

Waller did not say if he would take part in the Monday-starting optional offseason program.

Over the previous three seasons, he has missed 19 games.

Waller has been practicing with prospects Cade Stover and Ja’Tavion Sanders in Las Vegas during the offseason, all the while catching passes from Raiders quarterback Aidan O’Connell.

In free agency, the Giants added tight ends Chris Manhertz and Jack Stoll to cover their bases.
