Controversial Raiders Pro Bowler Signs a $66m Trade Deal With Bears.

After agreeing to a three-year contract in the offseason, Jimmy Garoppolo only played for the Las Vegas Raiders for one season. However, he now has a fresh start with the Los Angeles Rams through 2024.
Less than a week after being waived by the Raiders, Garoppolo, 32, signed a one-year contract with the Rams. Garoppolo had a few options to choose after entering the free agency market for the second time in a row, but he finally decided to accept a backup role behind Los Angeles starter Matthew Stafford because he is certain that the Rams are the best team going forward.

“Clearly excellent players everywhere. That’s a major component of it, Garoppolo told reporters on Tuesday, according to Sarah Barshop of ESPN. “Talking to Sean McVay on the phone and having him walk me through his offensive strategy and ideas really got me excited.” Additionally, I have a great deal of familiarity with the coaches here because I know them well. Having faced the Rams numerous times over my playing career, I’ve witnessed a lot of positive things from L.A.

Despite the drawback of once more being the underdog, the Rams offer a more reliable travel option overall than Las Vegas did. In addition to dealing with injuries, Garoppolo reunited with head coach Josh McDaniels, who was viewed with contempt in the locker room and fired after a 3-5 start in Week 8.
