Philadelphia Eagles Have Reached a $200 Million Agreement With Steelers QB, After Several…

Following the arrival of Wilson, Mayfield, and Cousins, the Raiders appeared to be a top trade target for Chicago. Fields was allegedly a target for Las Vegas, but they instead acquired Gardner Minshew to a bridge quarterback contract. Reports state that the Eagles also inquired about Fields; however, nothing came of it, and Philadelphia eventually traded for Pickett. Sam Howell, the starter for the 2023 Commanders, was acquired by the Seahawks in return for a number of pick swaps. And by trading wide receiver Rondale Moore to the Falcons, the Cardinals acquired Ridder.

LOSERS: Pickett Kenny. After the Steelers signed Wilson, Pickett wanted out of Pittsburgh and was dealt to the Eagles, who have a superstar quarterback on a big contract. Unless Jalen Hurts is hurt badly, Pickett has very little chance of starting for the Eagles. Fields is now the obvious successor to Ben Watson as the Steelers’ star player after Pickett’s departure.

It is now known to Justin Fields where he will play next season. Whether he returns as the starting quarterback is what remains to be seen. The previous first-round pick was traded for, and the Pittsburgh Steelers added another quarterback to their roster. The deal was made a day after the Steelers traded away Kenny Pickett, another former first-round pick, and nearly a week after the team signed Russell Wilson in free agency. In the 2025 NFL Draft, the Chicago Bears will receive a conditional pick, as reported by Adam Schefter of ESPN NFL Insider. The selection, as noted by Schefter, is a conditional sixth-round selection with a potential promotion to the fourth round.
