Steelers QB Kenny Pickett Officially Terminates His Trade Contract Proposal With The Eagles  Due to…

This offseason, the 49ers lost a significant number of players with depth on their roster, including defenseman Oren Burks.
On Saturday afternoon, there were rumors circulating that Oren Burks, a former linebacker for the San Francisco 49ers, was going to sign a one-year contract worth up to $2.5 million with the Philadelphia Eagles. After two years in the NFC West, the move brings him to the Red & Gold as their third linebacker in 2023.
The Green Bay Packers selected 28-year-old Oren Burks in the third round of the 2018 NFL Draft. After playing in the NFC North for four seasons, he moved to San Francisco in 2022. In six NFL seasons, the Vanderbilit alum has amassed 176 total tackles.

Burks developed into a reliable depth defensive option for the 49ers during his time there, capable of playing a variety of roles. In just eight starts, he recorded 84 total tackles, four TFLs, and two pass break-ups. Burks played more than 60% of the snaps on several occasions, contributing to the special teams unit as well.
Now, Burks is a part of the Eagles team that he played against in the 2023 NFC Championship. Along with some retooling, Philadelphia added former Buccaneers linebacker Devin White earlier this week. The former 49er has a chance to earn a starting place, even though it will be difficult.

In an attempt to bolster their LB room, the Red & Gold signed former All-Pro De’Vondre Campbell on Friday. The following day, SF re-signed Demetrius Flannigan-Fowles, a fellow backup linebacker. Holdover possibilities for Dre Greenlaw until he fully heals from his achilles injury should be both of the veteran choices.
