Boston Red Sox Have Closed a $95 million Deal With Yankees Ace Gerrit Cole, Regardless of The Unlikely…

As the regular season draws nearer, teams throughout the league become more and more in need of the available options while the Boston Red Sox persist in their free agency waiting game.
Opening Day is just a few weeks away, and spring training games are in full swing. As teams began to add their regular starters to their rosters for the Cactus and Grapefruit Leagues, some injuries have occurred.
Lucas Giolito is the only starting pitcher the Red Sox currently have, and a few significant bullpen players have minor injuries that should worry them.

However, Boston is not the only team experiencing early-season injury problems.Gerrit Cole, the ace of the Yankees, had an MRI on his pitching arm after having a problem during his recuperation after making a spring training start. After the Yankees management informed reporters that Aaron Judge’s unexpected early departure from a spring training game was entirely planned, Judge also underwent an MRI on his abdomen.

Although Judge’s MRI revealed no abnormalities, it is still unknown what Cole’s scan results will reveal. However, any rumor of an injury concerns his clubhouse, as he is regarded as one of the league’s greatest and most durable pitchers.
The Yankees organization is clearly worried because it has been reported that, following several denials this summer, they have resumed talks with the White Sox on a possible deal for Dylan Cease. The news is not encouraging for Cole’s performance.

As teams get more desperate for players, hopefuls in the free agent market and clubs with players on the trade block understand their need for replacements. And that deters them from lowering their prices.
