CJ Stroud Have Finally Signed in a  Free Agent With 95.5-Career Sacks

The 2024 NFL free agency period saw the Houston Texans make a significant acquisition to strengthen their CJ Stroud-led attack. The Texans acquired Bengals running back Joe Mixon by trade after Devin Singletary was lost to the New York Giants. The parties have now decided to extend the contract.
According to Adam Schefter, Joe Mixon has agreed to a three-year, $27 million contract extension with a $13 million Houston guarantee. The 27-year-old hopes to elevate the Texans offense, which is currently very good.

The Bengals were Mixon’s team for his first seven seasons before they took a different turn. In the 2021–2022 season, Mixon was selected for one Pro Bowl while he was at Cincinnati. He received the distinction after amassing a career-high 1,205 yards and 13 touchdowns through rushes.
Strangely, Mixon’s finest season coincided with the Bengals’ 56 Super Bowl run. Cincinnati, on the other hand, was unable to defeat the Los Angeles Rams, falling short 23–20. Still, Mixon kept up a steady production rate.

The former Oklahoma Sooner just finished a career-high 17 games in 2023–24, accumulating 1,034 yards and nine touchdowns. Mixon hopes to assist Houston in going deeper by using his knowledge and abilities.
Sadly, Houston’s next round opponent, the Baltimore Ravens, defeated them 34-10. Still, the team will have a strong lineup in 2024.
Following his stellar year, Stroud is still the talk of the town. He was named the Offensive Rookie of the Year in the NFL. Stroud hopes to guide the Texans to yet another outstanding AFC performance with Joe Mixon at his side.
