Sean McDermott Sent A Brutal and Dangerous Message To Former Bills Safety as He…

Last week, the Buffalo Bills took a hacking to their roster, benching a number of important veterans. For the Bills Mafia, the departure of safety Jordan Poyer was one of the hardest farewells.
Poyer didn’t stay unemployed for very long, though. Adam Schefter of ESPN revealed on Tuesday, March 12, that Poyer would be joining the Miami Dolphins, the Bills’ AFC East foe.
Given that Poyer owns a house in Southern Florida, the move isn’t that surprising. Prior to his re-signation with the Bills last year, the 32-year-old veteran also piqued the curiosity of the Dolphins.

Poyer, who turns 33 in April, finished the 2023 season with 100 total tackles and 1 forced fumble. It was the first season since 2016 that he has not recorded an interception. Since veteran safety Micheal Hyde is also considering retirement, most observers predicted Poyer would stay with the Bills, preserving half of the All-Pro duo.
Poyer, who joined the Bills in the offseason, had one year remaining on his $12.5 million deal. Poyer has been a member of the team since 2017. However, in an effort to save cap space, the Bills released him. With a $2 million dead money charge, the Bills were able to save $5.72 million against the 2024 salary ceiling by benching Poyer.

Following Poyer’s release, Bush communicated with Bills Mafia. She wrote, “It’s hard to find the right words to describe our time in Buffalo. There are so many things to say.” I’m grateful to everyone. Numerous memories accumulated throughout time. I’m thankful for everything (you all!) ❤️💙.
