Kendrick Bourne, a wide receiver, has agreed to a three-year contract with the New England Patriots that could be worth $33 million, according to a report from his agent Henry Organ of Disruptive Sports to ESPN’s Adam Schefter on Sunday.
Bourne, who turns 29 on August 4, is recuperating from a right ACL tear he suffered during the Miami Dolphins’ defeat on October 29.
Before the injury, he had already completed eight games with 37 receptions for 406 yards and four touchdowns, setting himself up for a career year.
Entering his ninth NFL season, the 6-foot-1, 205-pound Bourne played his first four seasons with the San Francisco 49ers and the last three in New England.

Bourne, an Eastern Washington native who was an undrafted free agent when he joined the NFL in 2017, has participated in 99 games throughout the regular season and has accumulated 264 receptions for 3,409 yards and 21 touchdowns.
