Raiders Reportedly Closing a $70.5 Million Contract Deal With Chicago Bears QB Justin Field Pending on…

Although the 2024 NFL Draft has received a lot of attention as a possible source for the Las Vegas Raiders’ future franchise quarterback, there are still other choices available. The biggest name that might be available to swing a deal is Justin Fields, the quarterback for the Chicago Bears.
Although Fields made significant strides toward the end of the last year, there are still concerns about whether he is a true franchise quarterback. The Bears are currently debating whether to keep Fields and trade down in the draft, or vice versa, as they have the first overall pick in this year’s draft.

“Chicago’s Justin Fields decision is the big quarterback domino that many are waiting to fall.” Chicago hasn’t acted, and according to multiple league sources, Fields, who hasn’t asked to be traded, could likely fetch a Day 2 pick in a possible exchange. A trade can happen at any time, although the official start of free agency is somewhat arbitrary. In order to dominate a market, Chicago will want many clubs, and from what I’ve heard, Fields should be keeping an eye on Atlanta, Pittsburgh, Las Vegas, and Minnesota.

Fields, who has occasionally seen tremendous success while lacking NFL experience, would provide the Raiders the best of both worlds. However, he is still young—just 25 years old—so he still has a lot of room to develop and improve.
Unless they move up in the draft, the Raiders will not be able to select one of the top quarterback prospects with the 13th overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. Additionally, they would have to spend a large sum of money and future draft picks to move up from 13 to the top 3.
