Shelton hit a two-run home run against Hernandez to give the Gators an early lead. With two more solo goals from Tyler Evans and Tyler Shelnut, the score was 4-0. After his home run and his celebratory bat flip, Shelnut was ejected.

With his fourth home run of the year, Gaglianone made it 5-0.
