Good News: “He’s Back” RED SOX best QB player confirmed to be starting there next game against …..

The remaining free agents are searching for their next organizations as teams like the Philadelphia Phillies look for last-minute additions to bolster their rosters as Spring Training games get underway. A large number of the athletes competing during this time frame won’t be on the roster for Opening Day. The Phillies have one more opportunity to put themselves in the best position to win a World Series. Jordan Montgomery seems like the most likely addition to them. The left-hander has been viewed as a fit during the summer and is coming off of a significant season with the defending champion Texas Rangers.

Philadelphia, on the other hand, is waiting for his asking price to drop because they have already crossed the luxury tax barrier and any additional signing will result in millions of dollars in additional taxes.

While they wait, other teams may be able to sign Montgomery, and it appears that the Boston Red Sox are currently making a strong run for the 31-year-old.
Before Spring Training, Montgomery and Red Sox manager Alex Cora had a Zoom discussion, Cora told reporters.
When one National League executive informed Insider Peter Gammons on social media, “we hear the Red Sox and Scott Boras had a good meeting recently and may get some deal done on Jordan Montgomery,” Gammons provided a far more thorough account. It will be seen whether a deal is completed or not. Scott Boras, Montgomery’s agent, is notorious for pushing hard to obtain the best price for his clients and is not one to back down from a negotiation. This cycle, it hasn’t been the case. Cody Bellinger simply accepted a contract that was far less than what they had demanded, agreeing to a three-year, $80 million deal as opposed to the long-term, $200 million or more contract they had desired. Maybe Montgomery experiences the same thing.
