“He’s Back” Miami best QB player confirmed to be starting there next game against …

Iowa never loses as Caitlin Clark triple doubles. Clark posted his 16th career triple-double on Sunday with 24 points, 15 rebounds and 10 assists in the fourth-ranked Hawkeyes’ 101-85 win over Illinois at Carver-Hawkeye Arena. But it wasn’t a one-man show, and coach Lisa Bluder said that’s a good thing as Iowa heads into the final week of the regular season. Hannah Stuelke scored 20 points. Molly Davis scored 17 points. Kate Martin scored 13. The Hawkeyes had 28 assists on 36 field goals and six players combined for 17 3-pointers. “We had four people in double figures, almost six people in double figures,” Bluder said, looking at Kylie Feuerbach’s nine points and Sydney Affolter’s eight. “To succeed, we must be.” Clark was just 6-for-18 from the field, 5-for-14 on 3-pointers and looked frustrated at times. But he had help. CONTENT “It’s unbelievable,” Bluder said of Clark’s triple-double. “But I liked that other people stepped up and took control tonight. I liked the balance we had.” Clark was not sharp and there were many frustrations, including a point in the first half when he asked to leave the game, then hit the chair next to him twice while sitting on the bench. “I think usually I am. just missing shots,” Clark said. “Sometimes it comes let it go and pull yourself together. I asked to dive, for a moment, to breathe deeply. Sure, I didn’t shoot it great tonight, but it still wasn’t terrible. “It’s just shooting. It happens. Some nights are great, some not so great, some are mediocre and it just happens.” Iowa shot 50 percent from the field and never allowed the Illini (13-13, 7-9) to get back into the game after being outscored 10-0 and 12-2 in the first half by the Hawkeyes. Illinois tried to challenge the Hawkeyes in the second half, but couldn’t turn the deficit into single digits. “You have to give Iowa credit, we were in the rotation the whole game,” Illinois coach Shauna Green said. “They hit 17 threes. You can’t beat anybody when they hit 17 threes. And it’s all in-and-out on them.”.
