Breaking, Miami Have Extended a $7.4 million Contract With 4 key players which has…

The Ole Miss Rebels were stung in a lot of ways by their home setback on Saturday. It was not the bad performance that dealt the biggest blow, but rather what happened in its place. With a 72-59 loss against the South Carolina Gamecocks at the SJB Pavilion on Saturday, Ole Miss’s chances of making the NCAA Tournament were severely damaged, and they were officially eliminated from the most recent predictions for the playoff tournament. In the tournament’s ranking, the Rebels have officially dropped to the “Next Four Out”

category, joining teams like Butler, Kansas State, and Iowa, according to Joe Lunardi’s bracketology update, which was published on Monday.
The four universities that make up the “First Four Out” are Villanova, Texas A&M, Utah, and Colorado. With four games left in the regular season before heading to the SEC Tournament, the Rebels will need to step up if they want to improve their chances of making it to the Big Dance.

The Ole Miss Rebels are ranked as a bubble team in many NCAA Tournament forecasts; but, a new set of projections issued on Tuesday places them as a 10-seed in the East Region of the tournament. In his most recent NCAA Tournament predictions, Andy Katz included the Saint Mary’s Gaels, Kansas Jayhawks, and Colgate Raiders in the same group as the Rebels on Tuesday. His complete NCAA Tournament projections are available to view here.

Ole Miss will get its first opportunity to increase its hopes of making the tournament this Wednesday when it travels to play the Mississippi State Bulldogs and returns home to meet the South Carolina Gamecocks on Saturday. Ole Miss and State are scheduled to tip off at 8 p.m. CT, and ESPN2 will televise the contest.
