LATEST NEWS: Miami Quarterback Player just signed a Divorce with his wife due to…

On Saturday, the Gonzaga Bulldogs defeated the Santa Clara Broncos 94-81 at home while honoring local legend Anton Watson in front of the crowd during his final home game at The Kennel. It was a memorable night for the city of Spokane.

As the team’s lone graduating senior, the fifth-year senior acknowledged that he had given the pregame ceremony considerable thought. However, he insisted that the task at hand came first, and his teammates followed suit.

Gonzaga (22-6, 12-2 WCC) carried on with their offensive performance, much as it has for the previous two weeks. The Zags made eight 3-pointers and shot 56.7% from the field, marking their fourth consecutive game of shooting at least 50% from the field and making eight or more threes. They also dished out 17 assists on 34 made field goals.

Graham Ike led the way with 26 points and seven rebounds, his fourth straight 20-point performance. Nolan Hickman finished with 20 points thanks to five more fantastic 3-pointers. Six rebounds, six assists, and 17 points were contributed by Ryan Nembhard.

Given Santa Clara’s rapid start, the offense didn’t miss many beats and really couldn’t afford to. The Broncos (18-11, 9-5 WCC) made 18 of their 33 field goals, including six 3-pointers, to go into the half tied at half. Before the half, Johnny O’Neil scored 13 points to keep things intriguing, and Camaron Tongue and Francisco Caffaro added energy off the bench.
