DEAL DONE: quarterback Jalen Hurts  Own a contract of $98.2 million with…

Wide receiver A.J. Brown of the Philadelphia Eagles decided not to speak to the media after the team’s fourth defeat in five games, a 35-31 loss to the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday.

Brown responded, “There’s nothing to say,” when questioned about the team’s difficulties. As reporters tried to elicit a little more information from him, he kept packing his belongings.

When asked if he will talk later this week, Brown replied that he was unsure. Brown turned around and told the reporters that “it ain’t directed towards y’all” before grabbing his luggage and leaving. This seems to indicate that Brown was frustrated with the team’s efforts and wanted to depart rather than say something he would later regret.

Honestly, Brown didn’t have any media meetings during the week. He said following Philadelphia’s close 33–25 victory over the New York Giants on Christmas Day, saying, “I was taught to say nothing if I had nothing good to say.” If I have to, I’ll pay the fine.

Brown is now third in the NFL with 1.447 receiving yards, just shy of his career-high 1.496 set last season. Whatever is bothering him hasn’t really hindered his output. Despite having seven touchdowns compared to last year’s eleven, he is still tied for the team lead with DeVonta Smith.
