Vegas Head Coach Antonio Pierce Has Been Infinitely Suspended Due to…

The Los Angeles Chargers defense in 2023 was terrible. The Bolts couldn’t get anything going right on that side of the ball, and their game against the Las Vegas Raiders in mid-December was a nail-biter for the front office. It was all blamed on their head coach, Brandon Staley, who was fired the day after that embarrassing outing. The Chargers coaching staff is completely different now. We all know about head coach Jim Harbaugh and what he plans to bring to the Powder Blue. However, all eyes are on the defense, the position must be improved. LA’s new defensive coordinator, Jesse Minter, is tasked with leading the defense to develop into an elite unit. Minter is set to bring a new element to the defense and elevate that unit. It’s a breath of fresh air after three Staley seasons. But some elements of Staley are still there. Daniel Popper of the Athletic said Minter will handle Staley’s masking and snap rotations. On the Formula side, one important aspect of Minter’s defense is masking and post-start laps. This strategy is something the Chargers linebackers should be familiar with because masking was a big part of how former head coach Brandon Staley wanted to play defense. Staley often discussed making things as difficult as possible for the opposing quarterback by “changing the picture.”.
