SAD NEWS: Eagles Best QB Player Terminates His Contract and Refuses Extension As He Craves For…

The 2023 season came to a disappointing conclusion for the Philadelphia Eagles. They had a 10-1 start to the regular season but dropped to the fifth seed and were defeated by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the Wild Card round after losing five of their final six games.

One of Philadelphia’s tight ends inked a contract extension.

During his first season, Okwuegbunam made four appearances and caught 11 passes on 15 targets for 121 yards and one touchdown. He started the first four games as a healthy scratch and was sidelined for the final eight due to an ACL tear in Week 9.
In his 14 games during his sophomore campaign, Okwuegbunam caught 33 passes on 40 targets for 330 yards and two scores. An injury to his hamstring caused him to miss three games.

In his eight appearances during his third season, Okwuegbunam caught ten passes on eighteen targets for a total of 95 yards and one score. For nine games, he was a healthy scratch.

Denver sent a 2025 sixth-round pick to Philadelphia in exchange for Okwuegbunam and a 2025 seventh-round pick.

In his fourth season, Okwuegbunam was only able to play in four games. He was a healthy scratch for 11 of the 13 games, and he missed the final two due to a hamstring injury.

Throughout 57 offensive snaps, he had 0 receptions on a single target.

Okwuegbunam will need to merit a position at tight end.
Albert Okwuegbunam will have competition from Grant Calcaterra and Jack Stoll for the TE2 place on the squad.

Will Okwuegbunam be a part of the offense and make the roster the following season? They are a favorite tool of their new offensive coordinator!
