LAS VEGAS RAIDERS ABANDONED PLANS FOR   Justin Fields HEARING AS..

Despite having only a few playoff teams during his ten seasons with the Los Angeles Chargers, general manager of the Las Vegas Raiders Tom Telesco was well-liked for the draft classes he was able to assemble while working for the team.

The Raiders need to address a number of positions, thus Telesco is under pressure to make an impression in the 2024 NFL Draft. The Raiders may make a huge advancement if his past success selecting for the Chargers is any guide to how the team does in this year’s selection.

Rashawn Slater, a 2021 first-round pick who started at left tackle for the Chargers right away, was Telesco’s most recent home run. During his rookie campaign, he played in all 16 games from the start and was selected for the Pro Bowl.

Slater missed the rest of the 2022 season after rupturing his left biceps tendon in Week 3 of the previous campaign. This past season, he returned and started each of Los Angeles’ 17 games.

Justin Herbert, a first-round pick in 2021, was one of Telesco’s more noteworthy draft additions. Following his selection as offensive rookie of the year, Herbert made headlines the following season when, because to his Pro Bowl performance, he helped the Chargers to their first winning record since 2018. In terms of passing yards per game (294.9) and total passing yards (5,014), he was second in the league.
