Miami ABANDONED PLANS FOR KEY QUARTER BACK PLAYER HEARING AS……

The transfer portal is expected to have a significant impact on the Miami football squad in 2024 once more. For the first time under his direction and the first time for the team since 2017, head coach Mario Cristobal has once again leaned into the portal in an attempt to develop, at the absolute least, an ACC contender.
In comparison to the previous two years, Cristobal didn’t nearly play as heavily in the winter cycle of the 2024 transfer site. Miami football, which is listed as the fifth-best transfer portal class in the ACC and 32nd overall in the country, will only be gaining nine new transfer commits. Only one four-star player will be present out of the eight three-star players.
But probably the most significant move of Cristobal’s term was that one four-star. Cameron Ward, a former quarterback for the Washington State Cougars, is that person.
Cameron Ward was the Hurricanes’ most devious 2024 transfer portal commit, as I mentioned in a previous piece. And that’s still the case. Massive NIL swaying or not, Cristobal and the rest of the Hurricanes staff did a fantastic job of persuading Ward to play for Miami instead of going to the NFL.
