C.J. STROUD ABANDON PLAN FOR KEY QUARTERBACK PLAYER HEARING AS……
When the Houston Texans selected quarterback CJ Stroud in the 2023 NFL Draft, they struck gold. Stroud went on to win the 2023 NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year award. The offseason is a fantastic opportunity for the Texans to improve their offense and find the young quarterback with stronger weapons now that they are aware of precisely what they have in Stroud.
Given that Devin Singletary will soon be available as a free agent, the Texans have a great opportunity to add Barkley to their attack as a dual-threat player under Bobby Slowik. Consider Barkley to be C.J. Stroud’s underneath outlet in addition to the rushing volume he would provide. Over his career with the Giants, Barkley has averaged 98.8 scrimmage yards, and he would add even more juice to one.
It’s thought that the Giants have little interest in using a franchise tag to retain Barkley.They previously paid $10.091 million to tag him in 2023, so it will cost them more if they do it again this year. However, Barkley’s career prediction is negatively impacted by the fact that he just turned 27 this February. However, Barkley, who carried for 962 yards and six touchdowns on 247 runs in 2023, would be a better fit for the Houston Texans, who appear to have a superior offensive environment than the Giants.
