Whether it be a manifestation of head coach DeMeco Ryans’ influence or general manager Nick Caserio’s wizardry, the Houston Texans got the best out of so many of their young players. Rookie quarterback C.J. Stroud took little time to get off the ground, immediately thrusting Houston into competitive games and, ultimately, a playoff run.
Although two outstanding receivers and the depth lineman gave excellent stretches, the defense also performed well. 2023 was the best season for linebacker Blake Cashman, and it gave the Texans the lift they needed to match Stroud’s skill on the other side of the ball. Cashman discussed Stroud’s season and the leadership he offers on Good Morning Football.
