Golden State Warriors Head Steve Kerr Has Been Infinitely Suspended Due to…

At the Genesis Invitational on Thursday, Tiger Woods made his comeback to the competitive PGA Tour and posted a one-over-par 72, but a massive shank to end the round marred his performance.

The 47-year-old, who is constrained to a limited schedule due to severe leg injuries he sustained in a car accident in 2021, hasn’t played on the PGA Tour since participating in the Hero World Challenge in the Bahamas in December. However, he is back for the event he is hosting at the Riviera Country Club in Los Angeles.

Upon returning to the course, the 15-time major winner recorded five birdies and six bogeys.

But Woods later acknowledged that he was experiencing back pain throughout the last three holes of his round, which may have contributed to his shank on the eighteenth hole.

Woods’ second shot on the last hole, which found the fairway, took a sharp turn to the right into the trees after only 71 yards, leaving him with a difficult 109-yard approach to the green.

He did hit the green on his third attempt, and he made a two-putt for a final bogey to trail early leader Patrick Cantlay by eight strokes.

Woods acknowledged that it had been “a while” since he had mishandled a shot from a comparable position and discussed the challenges of getting ready to play competitive golf again.
