One sports agency is reportedly instructing its NFL Draft candidates not to take any cognitive tests as part of their pre-draft preparation this year, according to a story from The Athletic. NFL teams were notified of the change via email last month by the nonprofit Athletes First.

“After extensive internal deliberation, the representatives at Athletes First have instructed our draft prospects to kindly decline taking part in any cognitive or psychological assessments (such as AIQ, S2, etc.) throughout the pre-draft phase,” the email stated, as reported by The Athletic.

“We acknowledge that numerous teams utilize these examinations or procedures as a component of your prospect assessment procedure; nonetheless, our recent encounters with these assessments have not been favorable,” the email went on. In particular, the fact that some performance and results were made public last year shows that there is actually no confidentiality involved in these testing.
