With an average viewership of 123 million, Super Bowl LVIII had the highest viewership of any broadcast in history on Sunday. 123.4 million average viewers saw the Kansas City Chiefs defeat of the San Francisco 49ers on all platforms, which included CBS Sports, Univision, CBS Television Network, Paramount+, Nickelodeon, and NFL digital domains, including NFL+. The numbers from Monday night, according to CBS, are derived from Adobe Analytics and Nielsen Fast National statistics. The Super Bowl on Fox last year, which drew 115 million people, set the previous record, which is broken by this year’s contest

While the network claimed it was the most-streamed Super Bowl in history, headed by a record-breaking audience onParamount+, it did not offer streaming figures. A total of 120.0 million viewers watched the game on CBS, making it the highest audience in history for a single network. About 200 million people, up 10% from the previous year’s game, are expected to have watched all or part of Sunday’s game, according to the network, making it the most watched event in history.
