Alabama Sign The Best Player Of The Year For $850 Million Considering…

The 30-day transfer portal window that opened on Nick Saban’s retirement day closes on Friday, February 9. There was a “mass exodus” from Tuscaloosa, according to non-Alabama college football fans who would give anything to see the Crimson Tide regress to the pack of mediocrity.

Thirty athletes left Bama through the Transfer Portal in the end. Although there are a lot of players gone, the caliber of those who have left in comparison to their replacements helps to somewhat balance the books.

There were already 20 Tide players in the Transfer Portal when Saban made his announcement. Many of them were little-used reserves who had little prospect of breaking into the starting lineup anytime soon. Two walk-ons are included in this total.

Here, let’s take a rest. Buchner is no longer playing football. Jones-Bell probably gave up football a year ago, but he figured he would put his name out there in case something came up. Brooks vanished. What’s left are two walk-ons who haven’t played a down, seven players who were probably never going to get much playing time, a center who can’t snap the ball, a receiver who was starting but couldn’t get open, and two seniors who were not worth the few available roster spots to bring them back.
