There are fresh faces in many key roles for the Las Vegas Raiders. They have a new offensive coordinator, linebackers coach, and general manager. Assailants According to Mike Garafolo of NFL Network, coach Antonio Pierce has recruited former defensive coordinator Mike Caldwell to his coaching staff. Additionally, Caldwell has worked as a linebackers coach with the Philadelphia Eagles, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and New York Jets. Coach Pierce made the choice to appoint a coach who he probably looks a lot like himself to be the linebackers coach. Caldwell, like Pierce, spent a considerable amount of time playing in the National Football League, appearing in over 150 games with 49 starts. Caldwell racked up over 500 tackles in that span.

The Raiders, who placed close to the bottom of the league in forced turnovers in 2022, made improvements in this area this season. Coach Pierce and Raiders defensive coordinator Patrick Graham may find use for Caldwell’s shown capacity to force turnovers on a defense. Before deciding to accept the jobs as run game coordinator and linebackers coach in Las Vegas, Caldwell reportedly interviewed with the Buffalo Bills, Philadelphia Eagles, and Baltimore Ravens, among other organizations. Since joining the Philadelphia Eagles in 2008 as their defensive quality control coach, Caldwell has been a coach. He would take over as their linebackers coach three seasons later.
