WVLT – KNOXVILLE, Tenn. Today is cloudy again, but at least the weather is still pleasant and dry. We are experiencing inconsistent cooling this morning due to the movement of scattered clouds. This morning’s highs and lows are in the lower to upper 30s, with a low of about 34 in Knoxville.

Overall, the day is expected to be partly cloudy. Most of it is made up of towering clouds that essentially block out sunlight. The temperature is still warm, at 61 degrees. Most of our region is seeing 5 to 10 mph southwesterly winds, but today’s winds pick up on the Plateau.

The most of tonight will be gloomy, with sporadic rain rolling in and spreading out in the morning. Because of the cloud cover, our temperature will only drop to about 47 degrees.

STARTING UP AHEAD

Friday sees the beginning of the erratic rain cover, with spots here and there. Morning to midday, there will be 40% coverage, and late afternoon and evening will see more isolated showers. The day is otherwise mainly cloudy, with a high temperature of 58 degrees.
