Red Sox Confirmed The Signing Of Another Top Super Star Who Was Tipped For…

With just over a week until pitchers and catchers report to spring training, will the Boston Red Sox make any significant roster changes?

Although it’s important to temper expectations, Red Sox chief baseball officer Craig Breslow is anticipated to be aggressive in the free agent market. Prior to finalizing their roster, they may potentially make a few big deals.

Closer Kenley Jansen has been long-rumored to be the most likely trade possibility, but in recent trade discussions, a more surprising name has surfaced.

After a stellar season, the 27-year-old will have five more seasons under team control before becoming a free agent.

It seems counterintuitive to transfer a young, controllable player who looks to be close to being a core member of the team, especially when the entire club seems to be focused on the future.

If Duran maintains even a small portion of his 2023 output, the trade would need to be for a key player who will benefit the Red Sox both now and in the future.

It seems fair that Duran be given a chance to prove himself as the Red Sox’s starting centerfielder before being moved out in a sell-high transaction.
