Tarvos Alford, a linebacker from Vero Beach High School, is ranked as the No. 70 recruit in the 2025 class by 247Sports. On Friday afternoon, he narrowed his target list of universities to Florida, Florida State, Miami, Ohio State, Tennessee, and UCF. On March 30, Alford will make a commitment and select one of these programs. Tennessee recently stopped by his school to see how he was doing. Regarding his meeting with Tennessee’s staff, Alford remarked, “all in all, it was great to speak with Coach [Josh] Heupel and Coach [Brian Jean-Mary] in person.” “Their pitch to me was that I needed to be a Vol and that I could help them as much as they could help me.” After his brief stay with Tennessee, Alford was questioned about if the incident benefited Tennessee’s case and how much of an impact it would have on his recruitment going forward. “It undoubtedly raised their stock. The gifted linebacker said, “I think it’s special when the main man comes to visit you.” Additionally, he was questioned about his feelings on Tennessee and their present recruiting status.
