Former Alabama staffer says Crimson Tide fans ‘need to relax’ when it comes to Kalen DeBoer.

They wonder if Greg Byrne (athletic director) and Nick Saban (former head coach) made the right choice in Kalen DeBoer to be the next football coach of the Crimson Tide. We’ve seen current players show their loyalty to DeBoor and former players say, “let’s focus on the Alabama boys,” but now a former Crimson Tide official is giving his thoughts on the program.

Rhea, director of high performance for the New Orleans Saints of the National Football League, served as Alabama’s director of sports science in 2020-21. He helped Crimson Tide Director of Athletic Performance David Balloul help the Tide. avoid injury and be at peak strength, conditioning and speed to reach a Southeastern Conference Championship and College Football Playoff Championship in 2020. Rea helped the program to its second SEC Championship in 2021 and led it to an appearance in the 2022 CFP National Championship Game. He wants Tide fans to “relax” with DeBoer as head coach.

Tide nation will see for itself what it has in DeBoer in spring football and next season.
