Iowa’s offense got a huge boost Saturday when former Alabama offensive lineman Kadyn Proctor announced his commitment to the Hawkeyes. Proctor started at left tackle as a freshman for the Crimson Tide in 2023 and earned a spot on the All-SEC Freshman Team when Alabama won the SEC Championship and reached the College Football Playoff.Iowa native Proctor originally committed to the Hawkeyes out of high school before transferring to Alabama just before the early signing period began in December 2022. Proctor was selected fifth overall in the 2023 class. 1 offensive tackle and the number 1 player in the state of Iowa. His loss was a devastating start for the Hawkeyes at the time.Proctor now has three seasons to adjust to his home state team as Iowa tries to find a new path after firing coordinator Brian Ferentz.
