Aidan Hutchinson discloses the Lions’ preferred play-off opponent.

After defeating the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday night, the Detroit Lions progressed to the Divisional Round and will host another home playoff game. However, Aidan Hutchinson says his team was more than prepared to travel if necessary.

Hutchinson was asked how happy he was that his team would be playing at Ford Field in Detroit again the next week after the Lions defeated the Rams 24–23. Although he and his teammates were hoping for a retaliation game against the Dallas Cowboys, the standout pass-rusher expressed his excitement over the outcome.

Hutchinson remarked, “I think we all wanted Dallas again, but the fact that we’re back here is a blessing.”

The Lions players’ consideration of a rematch with Dallas is hardly shocking. When the two teams faced off in Week 17, a contentious penalty on Detroit’s final-minute 2-point conversion attempt allowed the Cowboys to narrowly win 20-19.

The Green Bay Packers thrashed the Cowboys, who were the No. 2 seed in the NFC, at home on Sunday. Consequently, the Philadelphia Eagles and Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ Monday night game winner will play the Lions the following week.

Over the weekend, CJ Stroud and Jordan Love, two quarterbacks with nearly identical stat lines, led their respective teams to postseason victories. In the Houston Texans’ 45-14 rout of the Cleveland Browns, Stroud was excellent.
